The Suzan Biermann Health Plaza is a two tower : 86 story Cancer Treatment Center and long term care residence.

Location : San Francisco, CA

The healing process is affected by our surrounding. I wanted to explore how to program a hospital and care center to provide optimum views of the San Francisco Bay to patients fighting terminal illness.

Through my programming I found a form that allows for maximum use of the exterior envelope for patient rooms while moving services to the center of the facility. The form naturally allowed for solar gain and views.
