Universal design as an approach to architectural solutions involves a close relationship between the end user and the designer. While attempting to be as inclusive as possible and mindful of all individuals’ abilities, universal design is not an end result only beneficial to a single user but the community as a whole. The process of designing to Universal Design requirements will improve all structures by allowing for equal and fair access while providing equal and fair architectural experience to all individual, regardless of any persons capabilities.
